Seatronics hosted a Technical Day for clients to visit out Aberdeen facility on the 3rd February 2016 to showcase and discuss the latest in marine technology. We worked together with our partners RTS to display a range of new subsea equipment for our clients to view. A sample of the companies in attendance included Subsea 7, Canyon Offshore, Harkand and GAS Survey.
One of the main attractions of the tech day was the new generation subsea monitoring solution, the RTS CUBE. The CUBE is an advanced self-contained subsea instrument package for monitoring heading, pitch, roll, depth and other user specified parameters. The new product attracted a lot of attention, impressing our clients with its advanced capabilities.
The 2G Robotics ULS 500 underwater laser scanner was also on display during the technical day. The ULS 500 captures detailed 3D models and measurements of even the slightest variances in subsea environments. The 3D point cloud imagery captured by the ULS 500 was displayed on a TV and was a great talking point throughout the day.
Other products that were showcased included the Seatronics Predator ROV, Gen 5 MUX and SeaMESH which were greatly received by the clients with additional information on technical specs and applications being requested.
Overall the day was a great success, offering the opportunity to meet with clients and discuss the variety of products and services Seatronics has to offer.
