The Group Accountant will work with the Head of Finance to ensure the management and coordination of the company's financial function is completed in line with expectations. The role is integral in managing the capex process. You will undertake the financial evaluation of proposed capital expenditure as well as prepare and submit capex requests to Acteon Group for approval. This role will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the overall utilisation and financial return of the rental asset fleet.
You will have experience in financial accounting, asset management, cost management, budgeting, finance, audit and tax. We see this role as integral in driving the Group’s financial accounting, consolidation, planning and reporting processes so that our reporting and financial governance framework is maintained to a high standard. You must therefore be a proactive thinker with the ability to support the Head of Finance and the finance team in carrying out their duties.
To apply for this post you must be a Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA), with solid experience working at a senior level in a global organisation. You will be used to working in a busy finance office environment and ideally be practice trained. Your technical competence with global financial reporting requirements along with a working knowledge of computerised accounting packages is key. Our Group Accountant will undertake various analyses to assess the performance of the business and therefore strong analytical skills coupled with advanced knowledge of Excel is essential.
With exceptional attention to detail, your ability to work to tight deadlines on multiple complex issues and remain calm under pressure is essential. Indeed, you must have good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly with a diverse range of staff across multiple locations. An ability to travel occasionally overseas will also be necessary.
