Seatronics has an ongoing program of technical development to maintain our solutions driven culture. This is a great opportunity for a candidate to join our Global team as Group Technical Development Manager.
Taking the lead role in the development of Seatronics’ products, you will work with the Seatronics Senior Management team to evaluate ideas, agree functions, features, build plan and cost criteria. You will actively manage the development, testing and building of these products by working with 3rd party manufacturers.
As a recognised expert in the business on the product, the market and relevant technology, you will be able to work closely with a range of external technical experts across several platforms. Your imagination and flair will allow us to provide effective solutions to unique customer problems. You’ll work on the full life cycle of these projects from initial information gathering to analysis, design, verification, integration and transfer into service. Remaining up to date with all the current design methodologies and technologies will be an essential part of your role. So a genuine and demonstratable interest in the work with unrivalled drive will be essential.
To apply for this post you must have a minimum Degree level qualification in an electronics based discipline together with a minimum of 5 years technical experience working within our range of subsea products. You will have quantifiable design knowledge of building systems or products. With exceptional attention to detail you must demonstrate your experience of working to a high standard. Indeed, with the need to provide technical support to our customers, we also require you to have good communication skills. Given that you will be dealing with Contract Electronic Manufacturers (CEMs) relevant experience in creating vendor packs is essential.
